About Our Chamber

The Ontonagon County Chamber of Commerce’s Information Center is located at 501 River Street in Ontonagon (located in Citizens State Bank lobby) and is staffed by volunteers from Memorial Day through the fall color season. It’s a good source for all the information you need to make your trip to our county an enjoyable one. We have maps as well as brochures for lodging, dining, and places to visit while in the area. We also have information available for you about other areas of the U.P.

The information center also houses our copper boulder. While it is not the one the Smithsonian has, it is still quite large, and represents the history of copper mining in the U.P. It was donated by Tom Pestka.

Please feel free to ask questions, print out our information, or request printed materials. If you would like help planning your visit to Ontonagon, Michigan, just let us know. We’d love to hear from you! Our office number is 906-884-4735.

You’re welcome to join us at our meetings! They are held the second Wednesday of every month. Call the office for the location and time. If your business is interested in joining the chamber, please contact us for more information.
